Overview
Immigration Canada initiated the Federal Skilled Worker in 1967 as a national response to the labour shortage nationwide. Prior to the establishment of any immigration program, the government of Canada handled cases individually through the court ruling. Throughout the last decades, there were many other immigration programs that were introduced by the Federal Government. These programs were designed with the collaboration of Immigration Refugee Citizenship Canada IRCC in order to fulfil the labour shortage across Canada.
Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
FSW program is one of the most popular programs designed for foreign workers who seek to live in Canada permanently. This program is one of the three program categories through Express Entry. Candidates who are willing to immigrate to Canada meet (official Canadian languages) language, education, professional work experience, and age requirements.

Work Experience
The program requires one year of work experience for any of the 370 eligible occupations which is equivalent to minimum of 9 points and maximum is 15.
Language
Candidates must indicate language ability which is equivalent to the Canadian Language Benchmark Minimum score (minimum of CLB 7) in either of both official languages.
Education
Potential candidates must provide Canadian Educational Credentials (for example this could include Diploma, Degree, professional Certificate) or a completed Educational Credential Assessment from a designated organization. These designated organization include:

The Federal Skilled application must meet the financial requirement to indicate the candidate can settle in Canada.

How to create express entry profile ?
You need to check your eligibility and ensure you meet the minimum requirement for express entry to enter the pool.
Qualified applicants who meets the minim requirements and minimum score of 67 under the program’s 100-point grid, may enter the express entry pool.
Skilled Worker Selection Grid (Six Selection Factors)
Age
The point will be calculated based on the age at the time of application. (Max 12 points)
Education
You must have completed a High School Diploma equivalent or higher. (Max 25 points)
Work experience
You have at least one year of skilled occupation or continuous full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), paid work experience within the last ten years in an 0, A or B occupation. (Max 15 points)
Arranged employment in Canada
You may get additional points If you have a job offer from a Canadian employer for at least 1 year. (Max 10 points)
Language skills
You must achieve a minimum score of a CLB or NCLC 7 in all sections of an approved language test. (Max 28 points)
Adaptability
You may be eligible to get additional points for adaptability. (Max 10 points)
