British Columbia’s provincial program is an economic immigration program and one of Canada’s PNP programs. Canada’s westernmost province, is known for its mountain ranges and Pacific coastline. It is also one of the most diverse provinces in all of Canada.

Parts of the British Columbia PNP:

1. Skilled migration

Audience: Healthcare professionals, international graduates, skilled workers, entry-level and semi-skilled workers.

Conditions:

  • Job offer or current job (except for international graduates)
  • Canadian work experience or education (optional)
  • Language score (corresponding to the job category)
  • Age requirements (no restrictions)

Benefits of the British Columbia Skilled Worker Program

  • Lots of regular draws
  • No need for work experience or Canadian education
  • Lower language score compared to other programs
  • No age requirement

2. British Columbia Express Entry

  • Compliant with: Federal Government’s Express Entry Immigration Selection System

Audience: People applying to start a business and entrepreneurship in the province

Entrepreneurship program options:

Entrepreneur immigration:

  • For business owners and senior managers
  • Minimum net capital: 600 thousand Canadian dollars
  • Investment: at least 200 thousand Canadian dollars
  • History of business ownership or management
  • Language certificate at least CLB 4
  • Starting or buying and developing a business
  • Create at least one job

Entrepreneurial immigration – regional trial:

  • Similar to the entrepreneur immigration category with more flexible conditions
  • For specific areas

British Columbia Provincial Pointing System (BCPNP)

The British Columbia Provincial Program (BCPNP) uses a scoring system to evaluate and select eligible applicants to immigrate to the province. This system generally scores applicants based on the following criteria:

1. Human Capital:

  • Education: level of education and qualifications
  • Language Proficiency: English or French language score
  • Work experience: related to the desired job
  • Work experience in Canada: work experience in Canada (optional)

2. adaptation:

  • Age
  • Work experience in British Columbia: Work experience in this province (optional)
  • Study in Canada: Study in Canada (optional)
  • Family connections: relatives living in Canada (optional)

3. Job offer:

  • Have a job offer from a qualified employer in British Columbia
  • Job Type: Skill Level and Job NOC
  • Job location

4. Other factors:

Financial ability and compliance with the needs of the British Columbia labor market.
