Step-by-step steps to immigrate to Alberta through Alberta Advantage Immigration Program
- Choosing the right program: According to your conditions and expertise, choose the right program from AAIP programs.
- Check the terms and requirements: Read the terms and requirements of the desired program carefully and make sure that you meet them.
- Create profile and submit application: Create profile on AAIP online portal and upload required documents and information.
- Receive an Expression of Interest (EOI): If you are eligible, you will receive an Expression of Interest from the AAIP.
- Submitting documents and completing forms: After receiving the EOI, complete and submit the relevant documents and forms in your Express Entry portal.
- Receive a Provincial Nomination: Upon final approval, you will receive a Provincial Nomination which will add 600 points to your CRS score in the Express Entry system.
- Obtain permanent residence: By passing the quorum of points in Express Entry, you will receive an invitation and you can apply for permanent residence in Canada.
Alberta’s Rural Renewal Program: An Opportunity to Live in Rural Areas
This program is designed to attract skilled professionals to rural Alberta with a population of less than 100,000. Applicants for this program must be sponsored by an Alberta association.
Requirements for Alberta Advantage Immigration Program:
- Have a valid job offer or employment contract from an Alberta employer
- At least 12 months of full-time work experience in the last 18 months
- Sufficient financial ability to support yourself and family members
- At least a high school diploma
- Proficiency in English or French
Minimum language CLB required
The minimum language CLB required for each program in AAIP varies and depends on the career you are pursuing. In general, the language level required for AAIP programs is between CLB 4 and CLB 7 (Canadian Language Benchmark).
